Internship OOTD

Hi everyone,

Over the past couple of days I have been interning for a fashion brand called Sass & Bide. I thought I would share my outfit from one of the days with you for a daywear outfit idea or if you were soon to be doing a fashion internship :-)

I am wearing a white vest top tucked into an embossed khaki skort with a black trench/duster coat over the top :-) I also had a black cardigan on underneath for extra warmth as the duster coat is very lightweight making it perfect for the upcoming spring season! Lastly, I wore my well loved black cut out boots, a dainty gold necklace and kept my make-up and hair very simple and natural.

Top: Topshop £12 (Similar here)

Skort: Topshop £36 (Textured Wrap Skort)

Cardigan: H&M (Fine Knit Cardigan)

Duster Coat: Topshop £79 (PETITE Split Back Duster Coat)

Boots: Zara (no longer available)

Necklace: Urban Outfitters £12 (Two-Way Circle Infinity Necklace)

I think this outfit is good as it is a nice balance between smart and casual. However, I soon discovered that it was okay to rock up in some jeans, trainers and nice jumper - but I think that the best thing to do is go with a smart casual outfit and then see what others are wearing on your first day to get an indication of the kind of clothing that is appropriate :-)

I will have a blog post up about my internship experience very soon!

Lots of love

Day Out: Brighton

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I visited Brighton for a nice day out and to get lost down the little lanes exploring cute and kitsch shops. I thought I would share with you some pictures I took from that day :-)

As the weather was a little bit rainy that day, when me and my boyfriend arrived we ran into a cute little coffee shop to warm up (I had a hazelnut hot chocolate yum!) and just chill and chat.

I can't remember the name of the coffee shop, but it was a very narrow little shop with mismatched furniture and a couple of years worth of posters filling up the side of one of the walls. The prices in there were great too, especially as you could help yourself to syrup for free!

Although I don't have a house myself yet, one of my favourite things to do is look around home-ware stores so I can vision what my future house would look like. I personally like a very soft, clean and wooden look but I was in awe of the creative gems tucked away in the 3 floor shop called Edited.

Edited offered everything you could possibly want from lights to posters to chairs to dining equipment and put a cool twist on these products to offer you something completely original. My favourite was these bottles that had a curled bulb in them to create a lamp :-)

After dragging Jon around all of the clothing and beauty shops I wanted to visit, we finally arrived at our main destination for lunch which was a Vegetarian restaurant called Food for Friends. Now, I am not a vegetarian but I do love vegetarian restaurants as I think they can show you how tasty vegetables, cheese and other products can be! Food for Friends also had an offer on in January which meant that your 'non vegetarian friend ate for free' which meant that the meal came to a very good price!

I opted for feta stuffed mushrooms, green beans, and sweet potato and onion lattice that came with both red and green pesto - it was divine! Jon had a halloumi burger and to start we shared some coated aubergine 'chips' that came with a gorgeous dipping sauce. I would highly recommend  visiting this restaurant if you get a chance!

Sorry for the lack of blogposts recently, I have been a very busy student! Hopefully I will have some very exciting blogposts to show you soon, as I will be visiting London Fashion Weekend at Somerset House and undertaking an internship :-)

Lots of love
